“Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself” (Zen Proverb)
Yep, it's 3 more postcards for the DIY Postcard Swap 2011.
And here's the last one (I had a bit of fun with this):
And here's two I made for swaps on Trading Fabric Postcards:
The blackwork sheep pattern is from this website. Although I changed it a bit with my miscounting ;-) Not sure I have the patience/eyesight/concentration span for counted thread embroidery lol!
I think it's safe to say I've had enough postcard making for the time being. Time for something BIGGER!
Love all your postcards - aren't they fun to make!
ReplyDeleteThese postcards are great. I keep meaning to make something this size. I like the idea of a small project to try out different techniques.
ReplyDeleteYour blackwork sheep is fabulous. I must try making a fabric postcard one day. That is a great proverb :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome postcards - I love the chair ones, and I love that quote! I guess I should sit quietly and maybe spring will come? All my shouting at the skies hasn't done it, lol.
ReplyDeleteAll of your postcards are beautiful Viv, but the chairs are amazing - I ♥ the zen proverb and these postcards. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThese chairs remind me of Vincent van Gogh! Terrific pairing next to the text.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes from germany, tj
What a grate collection of cards, thanks for sharing.
